Dúnamar

Dúnamar (S. “Western Settlement”) is a small feudal county in the middle of Anórien, on the west side of the Fionnen river. Its lands were settled by Dúnadan farmers when the lands of native Gwathuirim kingdom of Rimmon were incorporated in Gondor. Many people in the county speak a local dialect of Westron called Nardolic, which has strong influence from native languages of the area.

Climate of Dúnamar is typical to Fionnen valley: Winters are damp and cold with heavy fog lingering in the river valley for days. Summers are hot and dry. County of Dúnamar has little or no differences in elevation: it is almost entirely level farmland and pasture for cattle.
